Our favorite thing about Pill Club is that, out of all the online birth control vendors we tested, they are the cheapest option for those without health insurance.
- Accessibility
Pill Club delivers to most states in the U.S and is the cheapest option for birth control without insurance on the market.
- Choice
We didn't like how Pill Club provides no education online about other long-lasting forms of birth control, such as the IUD or implant.
- Convenience
Getting birth control through Pill Club is a painless and simple process, and they let you text their healthcare team whenever you need to.
- Transparency
Pill Club is transparent about the fact that for the most part, it most resembles your local pharmacy.
When we spoke to Dr. Amy Roskin, Pill Club's Medical Director, she told us that Pill Club is right for any woman who is interested in pregnancy prevention. While we agree, we think Pill Club stands out in its effort to provide affordable and accessible birth control to the masses. For people without insurance, Pill Club offers the cheapest birth control pills we've seen at $9 per pack. They're also the best solution for cash patients who want a year's supply of birth control — other services typically only offer only 3 months' worth of birth control to those paying with cash.
Pros
Delivers birth control in a discreet envelope without any logos or company info
Without insurance, birth control pills are as low as $9 per month
Birth control deliveries come with extra goodies like stickers and chocolate
Pill Club is able to prescribe birth control in most states in the U.S. (41 to be exact)
Pill Club's medical group (meaning the doctors you will see during a telehealth consultation to get a prescription) take insurance, including Medicaid. This means your consultation will be free with insurance or $15 without.
We have heard from our contributors that if you are non-binary, Pill Club will address your birth control to your real name instead of your deadname (even if your deadname is on your insurance)
Pill Club also prescribes emergency contraception (Plan B)
Offers more than 100 different types of birth control
Cons
Does not offer the patch due to a lack of patient demand
We have heard from contributors that Pill Club shipped them internal condoms when they opted out of that option

Contributor Notes
The service is great. They send little extras like organic lube and mini chocolate bars or organic gummies. They always include a sticker with the birth control. The birth control comes in little boxes with a carry packet and a label for starting on every day of the week.
I really only have good things to say about Pill Club! It is extremely easy, convenient, and for me it’s free! I get my birth control straight to me, along with a cute sticker, and a snack! Sometimes they even include free plan B or other forms of birth control to try. Also, their customer service has always been amazing!
I live in the south, where getting birth control of any reasons is difficult. I use birth control for pms pain and the pill club sends gifts! Amazing
The product itself works well, just the price is a little more than I would like for it to be for a 3-months supply of birth control pills, I pay $33.99. When I first started using this company 2 years ago, I was paying about $15 but the manufacturer raised the price.
It was super easy to sign up and get started. I appreciated that it worked through online sign-ups/text messages and that they accepted my insurance. They also alert you when they’re shipping out your next pack, so you know when it’s coming. Unfortunately, my insurance is telling me they won’t accept their pharmacy anymore so I’ll just be buying my birth control directly. I find TPC pricing to be very fair as well.
Overall, it was the convenience that I loved the most about The Pill Club. I had a prescription for a years’ worth of birth control without leaving my house. They billed my insurance, so I had no out of pocket expense. I could pick a pill that I had previously used, or their provider would pick one for me. I just used one I’d used before, so I knew what side effects to expect. I also enjoyed getting little treats, like chocolate and lube with my shipments.
It was great, when I clarified that I am non-binary they checked if I was on HRT to make sure my BC wouldn’t have a negative interaction with it. They answered any questions and the pills were always on time. Best of all, my birth control had my *real* name on it, not my deadname, even though my insurance had my deadname on it.
I love The Pill Club because I get my prescription delivered straight to my door. The only con so far is that I’ve gotten the same sample products for the past 4 months. But these are free so I can’t complain too much. The stickers they send are also very cute.
It’s very convenient, I get everything for free because my insurance covers it. I like having the option of getting plan B sent if needed. Also the little treats like candy and stickers are a fun touch. Getting my entire year's worth of pills at once is nice too. Very easy to navigate website with lots of birth control options.
Wonderful customer service. Medical professionals that help consult on the best medication for health and address all concerns. Great response time on delivery and any questions. Can contact via text or website, very convenient. Includes information to help educate the patient. Their website could be easier to use.
My experience was great! Everyone was very understanding of different needs and wants i had for birth control, and there was no copay for a visit. Time between signing up and getting my birth control was very short, under two weeks.
Super simple sign up process that doesn't take me longer than 5 minutes. My birth control arrived within 5 days of signing up and it's free with insurance. There's a really nice touch in the package, with chocolates, empowering stickers and fun samples added. I also received a full year supply of birth control, which means that I never have to worry about running out. It does sometimes takes a little longer for them to respond to inquiries.
super easy, fast, excellent customer support
Text message assistance is so convenient. Quick delivery. Received 1 year's worth of birth control at no cost (at normal pharmacies I had to pay ~$15 for each pack and couldn’t get more than 3 at a time)
Easy to acquire, extremely beneficial to people who cannot get into a PCP/gynecologist to get birth control and a cheaper alternative for those in need of emergency contraception.
